Calamares features EPG (Electronic Program Guide) functionality to combine the possibilities of the Internet to pull on-demand content as we wish to consume it, with push media functionality like EPG based broadcasts as traditional TV.
Just program your station as you wish, and let the audience decide to watch your prorgramming, or to select other programs from your on-demand gallery.
Calamares offers webbased management for:
Calamares helps you to program EPGs & IPGs.
Electronic Program Guides and Interactive Program Guides provide users of television, radio, and now also new media applications with continuously updated menus displaying scheduling information for current and upcoming programming.
Non-interactive electronic program guides (EPG) are typically available for television and radio, and consist of a digitally-displayed, non-interactive menu of program scheduling information shown by a TV provider to its viewers on a dedicated channel.
A more modern form of the EPG, associated with WebTv as well, is the interactive [electronic] program guide (IPG). An IPG allows (Web)TV viewers and radio listeners to navigate scheduling information menus interactively, selecting, activating and discovering programming by time, title, station, or genre using an input device such as a keypad, computer keyboard, or TV remote control.
Schedule Your Station
Calamares not only provides scheduling information. It runs your station based on this information, like real TV.
Plan and program your schedule and leave it to Calamares to make sure the right content is delivered to the right outlets in the right format, such as web players, digital signage screens and your IPTV audience.
Scheduling has a second advantage: it helps you to schedule the distribution of your Pod- & Vodcasts as well.
